Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Jazzy and I'm the creator of SixLittleOsos.com. This blog was created to chronicle the hectic but joyous life I share with my four amazing children and my darling husband.

A Little Background Information:

I'm a thirty-three year old woman whose in the prime of her life...hear me roar!!! 

Ok, I'm back...let's continue. 

I'm a devoted Mami and Wife to a man who I call my best friend. I was born and raised in New Jersey but my dad is from the Dominican Republic and my mom is from Ecuador. My husband, who is African-American, was born and raised in Virginia for most of his childhood and migrated up north to New Jersey when he was 16. 

As fate would have it, we met at a very young age on a cold Saturday morning at a Mall we both worked at and he’s been a part of my life ever since. That was about 15 years ago and in between all of the ups and downs of life, we managed to get married and have four beautiful children (2 boys and 2 girls). 

I'm a Libra and my zodiac sign is symbolized by the Scales of Justice, so you know I feel lucky to have been blessed with the best of both worlds, twice!  My household is now comprised of three males and three females. What more could I ask for?! My daughter was the last piece of the puzzle to complete and balance out our family unit and while the thought of having four children was so daunting at first, I surely wouldn't have it any other way now.  

Where the name “Six Little Osos” came from:

The running joke in my family is that I’m a “Mama Bear” because of the protective nature I display when it comes to my children or my family. But, really? What mom isn’t protective of her offspring? So, as a result, my family laughs it off and calls me “Mama Bear.” Naturally, of course, I then refer to my children as my “ositos” or “mis ositos” which means “my baby bears” in Spanish. There are six of us in my immediate family so whaaa-laaaa....Six Little Osos (Bears) is born!

In birth order:

Osito #1

DB, "The Delightful Bear," who's so charming and always thinking of others, joined us in April of 2000. He's 14 years old.

Osito #2

NB, "The Neat and Nerdy Bear," who is Mami Bear’s biggest helper, someone I never have to clean up after and is always reading, joined us in August of 2003. She's 10 years old. 

Osito #3

JB, "The Jovial Bear," who is guaranteed to supply me with a dose of daily laughter and is the cutest, most sensitive little boy I know, joined us in August of 2009. He's 4 years old.

Osito #4

EB, "The Energetic Baby Bear," is the Baby of the family and has energy for days! She joined us in February of 2013 and shares a birthday with Daddy Bear!  She’s still too young to really tell what her personality will be like but I think she'll always be referred to as the baby of the family.
